SP City reviews security arrangements at faisal mosque, G-6 Imambargah

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Superintendent of Police (SP) City Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain on Friday visited the Faisal Mosque and an Imambargah in G-6 to review security arrangements put in place for Friday prayers.

A police official told APP that the SP Ayaz inspected security deployments, checked access control measures and reviewed the overall security plan to ensure the safety of worshippers.

During the visit, Ayaz met officers deployed at both locations and appreciated their commitment to duty. He directed them to remain highly vigilant, perform their responsibilities with professionalism and ensure effective security throughout the prayer congregations.

SP Ayaz emphasized maintaining a strong police presence and prompt response capability to provide a safe and peaceful environment for worshippers. He also instructed officers to remain courteous while carrying out security checks and facilitate the public without compromising security measures.

The visit forms part of Islamabad Police's ongoing efforts to strengthen security at mosques, Imambargahs and other sensitive places during congregational prayers, the official added.
