According to the National EOC, around 19 million children under the age of five will be administered polio drops during the week-long campaign, while more than 160,000 polio workers will participate in the drive across the country.

The EOC said the campaign would be conducted simultaneously in Pakistan and Afghanistan as part of coordinated efforts to eradicate the poliovirus from the region.

19 million children will be vaccinated in 10 selected districts of Punjab, 5.79 million in 20 districts of Sindh, 4.61 million in 23 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1.99 million children in 25 districts of Balochistan.

In Islamabad, more than 460,000 children will receive polio drops during the campaign. The National EOC urged parents to fully cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that all children under five years of age receive polio drops to protect them from the lifelong disability caused by the virus.
