DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) A special team led by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Iftikhar Ahmad conducted late-night inspections against food and milk adulteration in the district under the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Halal Food Authority and Livestock Department checked milk tankers arriving from Punjab and collected samples for on-the-spot testing to ensure quality standards.
During inspections of fast-food outlets, about 30 litres of substandard cooking oil was seized and destroyed, while restaurant owners were directed to improve kitchen hygiene.
The team also inspected bakeries and stores and took action against the sale of substandard juices.
A total fine of Rs24,000 was imposed on violators. The district administration said strict action against adulterated milk and unsafe food would continue to protect public health.
