Sports Science Deptt dominates UoS's 24th Sports Gala:

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) The Department of sports Sciences at the University of Sargodha has clinched multiple victories in both male and female categories during the 24th annual Sports Gala.

According to the competition results, the female teams of the Sports Sciences Department secured first positions in cricket, volleyball, handball, futsal, and basketball, while obtaining second position in the tug-of-war event.

In the male category, the department's students won first place in shooting volleyball and secured second position in basketball, whereas the department’s cricket and handball teams have successfully qualified for the semifinal rounds. Dr Yasir Iqbal Warraich, In-charge of the Department of Sports Sciences, expressed satisfaction over the performance and appreciated the efforts of both students and faculty members in achieving these milestones.
