SRSO Hosts Managerial Activist Conference in Khairpur

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) The Local Support Organization (LSO) Karam Khan, supported by the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) on Sunday successfully organized a Managerial Activist Conference (MAC) at Hussain Pato, Faiz Ganj, District Khairpur Mir's. The event was part of the Peoples' Poverty Reduction Program (PPRP) and SPHF, funded by the Sindh Government.

According to SRSO's Media consultant, Jamil Ahmed, the conference brought together 47 Community Organizations (COs) and 14 Village Organizations (VOs) to strengthen community-led development initiatives. Rafia Naz Jamarro, Assistant Commissioner, Faiz Ganj and Senior District Manager SRSO were the chief guests.

Guests interacted with women participants, appreciating their efforts to enhance livelihood opportunities and showcasing community resilience.

The event featured women displaying clothing and embroidery skills developed under PPRP, inspiring stories of women leaders overcoming poverty, and LSO-led initiatives such as polio awareness campaigns and tree plantation drives.

The conference concluded with a tree-plantation drive launched by the Assistant Commissioner and Senior District Manager, highlighting the community's commitment to environmental sustainability.

The event showcased the impact of SRSO's support in empowering local communities and promoting development initiatives in the region.
