SRSO, NADRA sign MoU to boost women’s access to identity documents

The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve women’s access to identity documentation in remote areas of the province

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve women’s access to identity documentation in remote areas of the province.

Speaking at the ceremony on Friday, SRSO officials highlighted the organization’s efforts to empower women and its partnership with the government to alleviate poverty.

NADRA Director General Aliya Abdul Razzaq lauded the collaboration and announced that NADRA would dispatch Mobile Registration Vans to far-flung villages.

SRSO will facilitate access to uncovered communities that still lack NADRA services, she added.

The NADRA delegation also visited the SRSO Sartyoon Sang Crafts Enterprise, where the SRSO team briefed them on its crafts-based approach to women’s economic empowerment. The SRSO presented commemorative shields to the visiting delegation.

Officials said the partnership aims to ensure that women are not excluded from social and economic opportunities due to a lack of documentation, noting that identity is the first step toward empowerment and inclusion.
