SSDO, KP assembly sign MoU to strengthen governance, policy cooperation

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) and Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in key areas, including counter-terrorism, violent extremism, organized crime, governance, women empowerment and child rights.

The MoU aims to strengthen the capacity of parliamentarians and committees through research support, policy dialogue, legislative assistance and technical expertise to promote evidence-based policymaking in the province.

The MoU was signed by Secretary Assembly Syed Wiqar Shah and Executive Director SSDO Syed Kausar Abbas in the presence of Speaker KP Assembly Babar Saleem Swati.

Both sides emphasized that the partnership will enhance institutional coordination, support effective legislation and promote inclusive and informed governance in KP.
