SSP CTD inspects Muharram security arrangements

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Kamran Mumtaz on Friday visited the Divisional Control Room established at the Deputy Commissioner's Complex to review security and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

Deputy Commissioner(DC),Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi briefed the SSP on the security plan,monitoring of majalis and mourning processions,emergency response mechanisms and coordination among law enforcement agencies and other departments.

Officials said the SSP reviewed the operational preparedness of the control room and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made to ensure effective monitoring and a timely response during Muharram.

He underscored the importance of close coordination among all relevant departments to maintain law and order and ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram across the district.
