SSP Hyderabad issues arrest orders against miscreants involved in severe riot, violent protest

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, while taking strict notice of the incident occurred in the premises of his office, on Wednesday issued arrest orders against the miscreants involved in the severe riot, violent protest, damage to government property and harassment and violence against government employees, especially women employees.

According to the details, a certain group of transgenders entered the premises of the SSP Hyderabad office and raided and violently staged protest in support of the demands related to the appointment of *Female Junior Clerk Maria Sario* of the police department.

During the protest, mischievous transsexuals were reported to have taken office staff, especially women, hostage and harassed them severely and entered the offices and damaged government property.

The SSP Hyderabad repeatedly offered the angry protesters to negotiate and resolve the matter amicably and also offered to form an impartial committee, which was rejected by the conspirator group of transsexuals and they continued to put undue pressure on government officials and adopt various tactics for the rehabilitation of the concerned female junior clerk Maria Sario.

The SSP Hyderabad has made it clear that no one can be allowed to take the law into their own hands,obstructing government affairs, damage government property, harass government employees and affect the law and order situation.

He directed that cases be registered against all those involved in the incident as per the law and indiscriminate action be taken.

The SSP further said that the security of officers and employees working in government offices will be ensured at all costs and no individual or group will be allowed to influence government decisions through pressure, intimidation or illegal means.

The rule of law and protection of the sanctity of government institutions are among the top priorities of the police.

The SSP Hyderabad said that Sindh Police fully believes in protecting the constitutional and legal rights of transgender people, women and all sections of society and provides all possible support to resolve their legitimate issues.

However, no individual or group can be allowed to take the law into their own hands for their demands, damage government property or harass government employees.

He further said that Sindh Police has always played a positive role in promoting the protection, self-respect and equal rights of all vulnerable and sensitive sections including the transgender community.

Discrimination against any citizen is not allowed, however, indiscriminate action will be taken against those who violate the law.

According to the SSP Hyderabad, the respect for the dignity, security and fundamental rights of all citizens, including female employees and transgender people, is among the priorities of the Sindh Police, while no compromise will be made on the dignity of government institutions, the rule of law and the establishment of law and order.

Later, acting on the orders of the SSP Hyderabad, the Cantt Police registered a case against the miscreants under Sections 114, 353, 147, 149, 120B, 427, 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested 15 named transgender people including Junior Clerk Maria Sario, while police operations are underway to arrest other unknown absconding accused.
