SSP Hyderabad, Vice President Chamber of Commerce visits Iron Market

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) On the invitation of All Hyderabad Iron and Steel Association, SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar and Vice President Chamber of Commerce Owais Iqbal Khan visited Iron Market.

On this occasion, Association President Maqsood Ahmed Chohan, Vice President Afzaal Chohan and other office bearers and members warmly welcomed the guests .

The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Hafiz Aniq Ahmed Chohan with the recitation of the Holy Quran while Abdul Moeez presented Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ?.

Later, President Maqsood Ahmed Chohan in his welcome address expressed gratitude to SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, Vice President Owais Iqbal Khan, DSP Phulli Waqas Durrani, SHO Phulli Ayub Odho, Additional SHO Irshad Shahani, PSOS SSP Qazi Moin, 15 Incharge Sohail Raja, RK Sajid Kachhi and other guests and traders for their presence.

Addressing the meeting, Maqsood Ahmed Chohan informed about the problems faced by the association and said that police patrolling should be dedicated to address the challenges facing law and order in Loha Market, street crime, vehicle theft and other crimes.

He demanded that special police personnel be deployed for Iron Market and an effective checking system be created under the blockade from 10 pm to 6 am.

He said that security issues are being faced during loading and unloading, while drivers are unnecessarily harassed despite heavy traffic entering the city limits according to working hours, which must be addressed.

On this occasion, SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar thanked All Hyderabad Iron and Steel Association President Maqsood Ahmed Chohan and other office bearers for the wonderful welcome and said that strong coordination between the police and the business community is very important for maintaining law and order in the city.

He listened carefully to the problems of the businessmen and said that special steps will be taken to prevent street crime, vehicle theft and other crimes in Loha Market.

He assured that patrolling in and around the market would be made more effective and police presence would be increased during sensitive hours.

SSP Shahzeb Chachar further said that the protection of lives and property of the business community is the Primary responsibility of the police and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

He directed the concerned officers to improve the system of checkpoints and checking during the night hours so that the movement of criminal elements could be monitored.

Vice President Chamber of Commerce Owais Iqbal Khan said that the business community is the backbone of the country’s economy and a peaceful environment is essential for the promotion of business activities.

He said that SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar takes the problems of the business community seriously and ensures their resolution through immediate steps, which has created confidence in the business community.He stressed on further strengthening the mutual cooperation between the police and the business community.

At the end of the ceremony, SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, Vice President Owais Iqbal Khan and other guests were presented with traditional Sindh gifts such as Lungi, Sindhi Ajrak, Sindhi Topi, Shield and Souvenir.Certificates were distributed to the police personnel who performed well.
