SSP Qazi reviews security arrangements for 11th Muharram processions

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza, accompanied by SSP Security/Operations Suleman Zafar, on Saturday visited Bari Imam and Shah Allah Ditta Imambargahs and reviewed security arrangements and procession routes for 11th Muharram-ul-Haram.

An official told APP on Saturday that the SSP Operations, along with zonal SPs, SHOs and other police officers, inspected procession routes and reviewed security deployments to ensure the effective implementation of the security plan.

Qazi directed officers to remain fully alert during Muharram processions and Majalis and ensure strict compliance with all approved security standard operating procedures (SOPs).

SSP Qazi said Islamabad Police remained fully committed to maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens throughout Muharram-ul-Haram.

He said all possible measures were being taken to promote inter-sect harmony, religious tolerance and brotherhood during the sacred month.

Qazi said that, in line with the vision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police would ensure a peaceful environment and foolproof security during Muharram-ul-Haram.

The official said comprehensive and coordinated security arrangements had been finalized for the observance of 11th Muharram across the Federal capital, with all field formations remaining on high alert.
