SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Prisons Sargodha Region Saeed Ullah Gondal, District Public Prosecutor Malik Amir and Deputy Director National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Mehr Umar Daraz Jhawari visited the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Sargodha Station on Friday and appreciated its professional role in disseminating authentic information and highlighting public issues.

The purpose of the visit was to further enhance the collaboration between state news agency and government departments in serving public and resolving their issues by make public aware through media forums.

During the visit, the officials discussed with the office in-charge matters relating to public awareness, information dissemination and cooperation among government institutions for welfare of people.

The visiting officials praised APP for its credible, objective and responsible journalism, stating that the national news agency has been effectively serving as a bridge between government institutions and the public by highlighting issues of public interest and promoting awareness on matters of social and national importance.

They acknowledged APP's contribution to projecting government initiatives, public welfare programmes and developmental activities while also bringing citizens' concerns and problems to the notice of relevant authorities for timely resolution.

DIG Prisons Saeed Ullah Gondal said that effective communication between public institutions and citizens was essential for good governance and APP had been playing a commendable role in this regard.

District Public Prosecutor Malik Amir observed that APP's professional reporting standards and commitment to factual journalism had earned it the trust of both public institutions and the people.

Deputy Director NCHD Mehr Umar Daraz Jhawari said that APP's efforts in promoting education, literacy, social development and public awareness campaigns were highly valuable and deserved appreciation.

The officials also expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between their respective departments and APP for disseminating information regarding public service initiatives and welfare programmes.
