Station Manager APP Multan's brother laid to rest

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Qazi Aftab Ahmed, the younger brother of Station Manager APP Multan Iftikhar Ahmed Qazi, was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard on Tuesday. He was 49.

According to details, Aftab Ahmed was traveling to Dera Ghazi Khan last Friday when his car met with a severe accident near Chowk Qureshi at a traffic signal. Resultantly, he sustained critical head injuries.

Rescue 1122 shifted him to the Indus Hospital in Muzaffargarh. After initial medical treatment, he was referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, where he remained under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for four days.

Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.

The funeral prayer was offered at Jamia Masjid Naqshband in Gulgasht Colony after Asr prayers, led by Allama Munir Ahmed Chisti. A large number of people from various walks of life attended, including Regional Director APP South Punjab Jehangir Khan Tareen, President Multan Press Club Shakeel Anjum, General Secretary Mazhar Khan, Chief Reporter APP Multan Tasawer Hussain Hujjan, Senior Journalist Jamshaid Rizwani, Omer Hayat, Sohail Khalid, Zahoor Hussain Shamsi and several other journalists.

Qul Khawani will be held at Jamia Masjid Naqashband Gulgasht Colony on March 19 after Asar prayer.
