Staying connected with Quran ensures success in both worlds: Allama Riaz

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) A Khatm-e-Quran gathering was held here at Ittifaq Mosque in Model Town, where Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Patron-in-Chief of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia Pakistan, highlighted the significance of the Holy Quran and the blessings of Ramazan.

A large number of men and women attended the spiritually uplifting ceremony on Tuesday night.

Addressing the gathering, Allama Riaz said those who remained closely connected with the Holy Quran succeeded in both this world and the hereafter, while distance from it led to regret.

He described the Quran as a source of guidance for humanity till the Day of Judgment, saying it provided knowledge, awareness and spiritual elevation.

Highlighting the virtues of the Holy Month of Ramazan, he said the last Ashra (10 days) of Ramazan and Laylat al-Qadr carried immense blessings and divine mercy.

Referring to the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), he spoke about social reform, welfare and

the dignity of women, saying islam granted women an honourable status.

The scholar also termed poverty a major challenge that could weaken beliefs and stressed the need for a just welfare society.

The event concluded with a collective prayer for the country’s peace, progress and prosperity, and a call to strengthen

ties with the Holy Quran.
