Steps being taken to eliminate corruption in govt departments: Commissioner

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Commissioner Mussarat Jabin has said that transparency, honesty and accountability in government departments are the top priority.

She said that government departments have to be made corruption-free, for which a close eye is being focused on their working.

She expressed these views during her visit to the Regional Office of the Directorate of Anti-corruption Department here on Thursday.

She was briefed on measures taken to eliminate the menace of corruption in government departments by the Anti-Corruption Director Kanwar Khalid.

Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and Circle Officers were also present on the occasion.

The commissioner was briefed on registration of cases during the current year, inquiries, evacuation of state lands etc.

She was told that an amount of Rs 320 million embezzled so far by the officials has so far been recovered.

The commissioner appreciated the efforts of the anti-corruption department to root out the corruption from government departments.
