Strict action to be taken against law violators on Eid: CPO Tanveer

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain Tuesday announced strict action against law violators during Eid-ul-Azha and warned that display of weapons, aerial firing, one-wheeling and liquor consumption would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

In an important message issued for citizens ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, the CPO said that Faisalabad police had adopted zero-tolerance policy to maintain peace and ensure protection of lives and property during the Eid holidays. He said that indiscriminate legal action would be taken against all those found taking law into their hands. All circle officers and SHOs had been directed to launch immediate action against violators without any discrimination, he added.

He said that additional police force had been deployed at parks, recreational sites and other public places to maintain law & order and facilitate citizens during Eid celebrations.

He said that special security arrangements had also been made to provide women and children with a safe and peaceful recreational environment at public places across the city.

He appealed to the parents to keep their children away from dangerous activities like one-wheeling, describing it as a deadly and life-threatening practice that could result in tragic accidents.

He said that special police squads would remain active in the field during Eid days to prevent crimes, curb anti-social activities and ensure protection of precious human lives.

He reiterated that safeguarding the lives and property of citizens remained the top priority of Faisalabad Police and assured that complete peace and law & order would be maintained throughout Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
