Strict monitoring ensures quality execution of development schemes: DMD WASA

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Engineering Shoaib Zia said that strict monitoring would ensure quality execution of development schemes.

In this connection, an official Quality Assurance Team visited various ongoing development sites in the city to review construction standards and progress. The team inspected multiple sites of underground water storage tanks being constructed across the city including Hockey Stadium Madina Town, Crescent school Ground Sheikhupura Road, General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad and Pakistan Chowk.

During visit, the Quality Assurance Team thoroughly reviewed the construction quality of ongoing schemes at all sites and expressed satisfaction over the standards being maintained.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Engineering Shoaib Zia said that the use of high-quality construction materials was being ensured at all sites while continuous monitoring was being carried out by consultant agencies. He said that comprehensive safety measures had been implemented at construction sites and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Punjab government were being strictly followed. This initiative would ensure transparency, efficiency and high standards in public development projects for improving urban infrastructure and service delivery, he added.

Director Construction Hayat Randhawa, along with officials including Owais Jamal, was also present during the visit.
