Student's issues to be resolved on priority basis: VC

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Vice Chancellor Agricultural University Dera Ismail Khan, Professor Dr. Latif Khan Gondal has said that concrete steps would be taken to resolve issues facing students on a priority basis.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a representative delegation of students from the DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) Department.

During the meeting, students highlighted various academic, instructional, practical, and administrative issues in detail.

They pointed out problems such as irregular class schedules, lack of modern equipment and facilities in laboratories, limited opportunities for practical training, as well as issues related to hostel accommodation and transportation.

The Vice Chancellor listened to the students’ concerns and assured them that immediate steps would be taken to address their legitimate issues and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

He directed the relevant administrative officers to conduct a comprehensive review of the problems faced by the DVM department and submit actionable recommendations to ensure their swift resolution.

He added that students were the backbone of any educational institution and that providing them with quality education along with the best possible facilities was the foremost responsibility of the university administration.

He further said that all available resources would be utilized to transform the Agricultural University into a model institution.

The student delegation thanked the Vice Chancellor for listening to their concerns and for assuring prompt action, expressing hope that the administration’s measures would yield positive results soon.
