Students enrollment campaign starts at Patan, District Kohistan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) A special enrollment campaign to register maximum number of students in public sector schools have been started in District Kohistan Lower Dir.

A ceremony to this effect was held in Patan that among others was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Mehmood, District Education Officer (DEO) (M), Muzaffar Ali Khan, District Education Officer (F), Sajida Sakhi, teachers and students.

Speaking on the occasion, DEO said that Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of education for progress and stressed upon parents to give proper attention to education of their children.

He said that our religion has also underscored the significance of education adding that we have to educate our children specially girls for a better tomorrow.

DEO said that target has been set to enroll 8400 children of District Kohistan in schools. He also urged parents to cooperate with authorities in their efforts to enroll maximum number of children.

Later a walk was carried out from Government Primary school Patan that passed from various areas of the city and culminated at the starting point.
