MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) A grand ceremony on Thursday was held at Government Pilot Model Secondary school No. 1 Mirpur to mark the first anniversary of Ma’raka-e-Haq “Operation Bunyan Al-Marsoos,” with students and teachers participating in the event with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
The ceremony was organised to commemorate what speakers described as the foiling of Indian aggression last year, and highlighted national unity and the role of the armed forces in defending the country. The event reflected strong expressions of solidarity with the military and national institutions.
Addressing the ceremony, Director General Elementary Education AJK Muhammad Shafiq Khan said Ma’raka-e-Haq holds an important place in national history, where the nation and armed forces jointly thwarted the enemy’s intentions. He said Pakistan’s armed forces have strengthened the country’s defence through professionalism, sacrifice and commitment.
Divisional Director Schools Syed Muqrin-ul-Zaman Bukhari and District Education Officer Muhammad Ishaq Mughal also addressed the gathering, stating that the entire nation stands firmly with its armed forces and that their sacrifices will always be remembered. Speakers reiterated national unity and support for the military.
Principal Muhammad Adrees Chaudhry said the morale of the Pakistan Army remains high under the leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir, adding that soldiers are defending the country’s borders while citizens live in peace. He said the services of the armed forces for national security and stability are unforgettable.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the security, progress and prosperity of the country. Officials of the education department, including senior administrators and faculty members, attended the event.
