RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Students at Fatima Jinnah Women University presented research on key environmental issues during an e-poster exhibition held in connection with biodiversity and wildlife awareness activities.

The posters covered topics including illegal hunting, wildlife trade, climate change and conservation of endangered species, drawing significant attention from participants.

Speakers from Snow Leopard Foundation shared that scientific initiatives, including camera trapping and genetic analysis, had helped estimate snow leopard populations in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in wildlife research.

Officials added that over 900 individuals had been trained in wildlife surveys and anti-trafficking efforts, while conservation initiatives had expanded to 65 valleys, covering around 40,000 square kilometres, reflecting growing institutional commitment to biodiversity protection.
