SU hosts inspiring Naat competition for students

Sindh University Bureau of STAGS organized a Naat competition on Thursday to promote religious devotion and encourage students to showcase their poetic and vocal talents in both Sindhi and Urdu languages

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) Sindh University Bureau of STAGS organized a Naat competition on Thursday to promote religious devotion and encourage students to showcase their poetic and vocal talents in both Sindhi and urdu languages.

The event was attended by faculty members, students and distinguished guests. Pro Vice-Chancellor Main Campus Prof. Dr Abdul Sattar Shah attended the occasion as the chief guest and appreciated the participants for their remarkable performances and devotion.

According to the SU spokesperson Nadir Ali Mugheri, in the Sindhi Naat category, Waqar Ahmed (BS-IV, Department of Zoology) secured the first position. Mehwish (BS-IV, Institute of English Language & Literature) stood second, while Shahana Khaskheli (BS-I, Institute of Microbiology) clinched the third position.

In the Urdu Naat category, Ghulam Mustafa (BS-I, Department of Social Work) won the first position. Mahnoor (BS-II, Centre for Physical education, Health & sports Science) secured the second position and Muhammad Abdullah (BS-IV, Institute of Commerce & Management) obtained the third position respectively.

Director Institute of Languages Dr Muhammad Sahibdad and Teaching Assistant at Department of Urdu Ana Shaikh coordinated the event and congratulated the winners.

Director Bureau of STAGS Ajved Ahmed Bhatti also attended the ceremony and commended the organizers for arranging the competition.

The competition concluded with the distribution of certificates among winning participants.
