Sub-inspector arrested in bribery case

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan, circle Khanewal, carried out a raid and arrested a police sub-inspector for allegedly accepting bribe, officials said on Tuesday.

According to ACE authorities, a raiding team, accompanied by a magistrate, conducted a successful trap operation and caught Sub-Inspector Aslam Masih red-handed while receiving illegal gratification.

Officials said marked Currency notes worth Rs 25,000 were recovered from the accused during the raid. A case has been registered against the accused officer under relevant sections of law.

The accused has been taken into custody and would be produced before court for further legal proceedings, ACE sources added.
