Sufism conference held on the annual Urs of Madhu Lal Hussain

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) A spiritual and intellectual Sufism conference was held on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Hussain, commonly known as Madhu Lal Hussain, in which scholars and personalities from different walks of life participated.

The conference was presided over by Secretary Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, while Zonal Administrator Shahid Hameed Virk, Manager Darbar Ghulam Rasool and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.

Renowned religious scholar Mufti Imran Hanafi and other scholars also participated in the conference.

During the conference, the speakers shed detailed light on the teachings, personality and role of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain in the promotion of Sufism.

The speakers said that the saints have always played an important role in the propagation of islam and social reform.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that providing the best facilities to the pilgrims is the top priority of the government, however, all steps are being taken in this regard.

The work of renovating and beautifying the shrines across Punjab, including Lahore, is underway to provide a better environment to the pilgrims.

The Secretary Auqaf said that strict monitoring of other administrative matters, including cash opening, is being done with the aim of ensuring transparency and discipline.
