Sukkur Express inaugurated with enhanced facilities

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) Chairman District Council, Syed Kumail Hyder Shah here on Friday inaugurated the refurbished Sukkur Express. He was accompanied by Divisional Superintendent, Railways Sukkur Jamshaid Alam and Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi. The event marked the introduction of modern facilities for passengers.

He expressed gratitude to the Federal government, Prime Minister Pakistan and Minister of Railways, Muhammad Hanif, stating that the Sukkur Express was a valuable gift to the people of Sukkur, initiating a new era of development and public convenience.

The refurbished train features economy class, AC standard, AC business class and AC sleeper coaches, designed to provide a comfortable and pleasant journey. The modern design, improved seating, and ambiance aim to enhance the travel experience.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad, SSP Sukkur, Azhar Khan, Deputy Mayor Arshad Mughal, Town Chairman Tariq Chauhan, Azizullah Mughal, Muhammad Uddin and other officials and citizens.
