Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that heatwaves.
The Sindh Education Department announced that summer vacations for schools in the province will be observed from June 1 to July 31.
In a statement, officials said the decision would apply to all public and private schools across the province.
Meanwhile, in Punjab, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that school holidays will begin earlier, from May 22, and will continue until August 23, giving students a break of more than three months.
The announcements have brought relief to students and teachers as the country is experiencing intense heat, with temperatures expected to stay high in the coming days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that heatwaves, flash floods, urban flooding, and windstorms may affect different parts of the country in the coming months.
It also said that rising temperatures could lead to strong winds, dust storms, and hailstorms, which may damage seasonal crops, vegetables, and orchards.
