Surgical recovery room inaugurated at Ghazi Medicare and Maternity Hospital

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) The inauguration ceremony of the new surgical recovery room was held at Ghazi Medicare and Maternity Home, Prince Ali Road, Hyderabad. The chief guests of the ceremony were Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar and Muhammad Saleem Memon, President Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry.

Speaking on the occasion, President Chamber Saleem Memon said that the health sector plays a fundamental role in the development and prosperity of any society. Private hospitals are providing quality medical facilities to the people along with the government and are playing an important role in reducing the burden on the health system. He said that the government should encourage private hospitals and health institutions by providing special incentives, duty and tax concessions on modern medical equipment and ensuring the provision of basic facilities so that better and cheaper medical services can be provided to the people. He termed the establishment of a modern surgical recovery room by Ghazi Medicare as a commendable initiative.

SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar said in his address that the protection of human lives and timely treatment are the basic needs of the society. He said that such institutions that provide modern medical facilities are commendable. Appreciating the services of doctors and medical staff, he said that investment in the health sector is actually a service to humanity and it directly benefits the people.

Dr. Hanif Memon Kashtwala, Chief Executive of Ghazi Medicare and Maternity Home, thanked the participants and said that the aim of the hospital administration is to provide modern and quality medical facilities to the people of Hyderabad and surrounding areas under one roof. He said that the establishment of a new surgical recovery room will further improve the quality of care and rehabilitation of patients after surgery. He emphasized that private hospitals are performing important services in the health sector despite limited resources, however, government support is indispensable to further strengthen this sector.

The ceremony was attended by Qamar Zaman Memon (President, Private Hospitals Sindh Association), Abdullah Memon (Chairman ABAD), Imran Khan Saharwardy (Chairman I-Own Hyderabad), Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Aslam Deswali, while senior members of Hyderabad Chamber Arif Memon, Sikandar Ali Rajput and Kashif Sheikh, along with esteemed citizens, industrialists, traders, doctors and social figures. At the end of the ceremony, the special guests inaugurated the new surgical recovery room and also visited various departments of the hospital. The participants expressed the hope that such initiatives will further improve the quality of healthcare facilities in Hyderabad and the public will have better access to modern medical services.
