Suspect held for killing brother-in-law’s nephew in Gujar Khan

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) The Gujar Khan Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with the murder of a man, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Tuesday.

The accused, a close relative of the victim, allegedly planned the attack and shot the victim dead at night while he was returning home, the spokesman added.

The case had been registered two weeks ago against unknown assailants. During the investigation, the Gujar Khan Police widened the scope of inquiries and questioned the nephew of the victim’s brother-in-law, who confessed to the killing.

The spokesman said the accused would be presented in court with a challan based on solid evidence to ensure his conviction.

Superintendent of Police Saddar Anam Sher said that those who commit homicide would be brought to justice.
