Suspect held with 5kg ice,hashish in NHMP-ANF operation

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP),in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF),foiled an inter-provincial drug smuggling attempt and arrested a suspect during a joint operation at the Kot Momin Interchange toll plaza on Friday.

According to an ANF spokesperson,the operation was carried out on a tip-off under the jurisdiction of the Kot Momin police station.

Officials intercepted a suspicious vehicle (registration No. AST-681) and recovered 5 kgs of crystal meth (ice) and 1.2kg of hashish during a search.

The suspect identified as Syed Moutabar Shah was taken into custody for allegedly attempting to transport the narcotics to another province.

Authorities have launched further investigations to determine the origin and intended destination of the seized drugs and to identify other individuals linked to the smuggling network.
