Syed Musa Raza takes charge as Director General PFA

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Syed Musa Raza has been appointed as Director General of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and has assumed charge of his office. He is an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, belonging to the 38th Common Training Program, with extensive administrative experience.

Prior to this appointment, Syed Musa Raza has served as Deputy Commissioner in Lahore, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh and Rahim Yar Khan.

DG PFA said that zero tolerance policy will be enforced against adulteration, forgery and substandard food. He said that strict actions will be taken against those involved in food fraud and unsafe practices.

He said that special focus will be given to the use of modern technology and human resource development to improve performance and efficiency of the authority. He stated that effective coordination will be established with food business operators, industry stakeholders and the public.

Syed Musa Raza further stated that all available resources will be utilized to eliminate health-threatening elements from Punjab in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab. He said that along with ensuring provision of quality food to the public, efforts will also be made to bring innovation and improvement in the food industry.
