Tank police celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with enthusiasm

TANK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with enthusiasm and solidarity at Police lines Tank, where Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan visited the police headquarters and spent time with officers and jawans on the festive occasion here on Wednesday.

District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan warmly received the deputy commissioner upon his arrival at Police Lines.

The deputy commissioner, along with the DPO, police officers and personnel, offered Eid prayers and special prayers were made for the peace, stability and prosperity of the country.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner laid floral wreaths at the martyrs’ monument and paid rich tribute to the sacrifices rendered by police martyrs in the line of duty.

He also planted a sapling in Police Lines Tank and termed tree plantation essential for environmental protection and a better future for coming generations.

The deputy commissioner later exchanged Eid greetings with police officers and jawans, distributed Eidi and cash rewards among them and joined a recreational gathering arranged for the personnel.

He praised the commitment and dedication of the police force, especially for performing their duties diligently during Eid holidays to ensure public safety.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan and DPO Abdul Samad Khan visited various police checkposts and Police Station Shaheed Murid Akbar, where they met officials deployed on security duty.

They distributed Eidi and cash prizes among the personnel and appreciated their efforts in maintaining law and order during Eid-ul-Azha.

Separately, MPA Usman Behtani , Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, also accompanied DPO Abdul Samad Khan on visits to different police checkposts and District Headquarters Hospital Tank.

He exchanged Eid greetings with police officials and distributed Eidi and cash rewards among them.

Speaking on the occasion, the adviser appreciated the police force for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere across the district during Eid and acknowledged their sacrifices and professional services for the protection of citizens.
