Tank Press Club delegation meets KP Information Aide, seeks resolution of journalists’ issues

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) A delegation of the District Press Club Tank, led by Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) and DEDAC Chairman Advocate Muhammad Usman Khan Bettani, called on Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, to discuss issues faced by journalists in Tank.

The delegation included President Syed Badshah Kundi, General Secretary Kifayatullah Paracha, Tanveer Shah Kundi, and Zafran Miani.

During the meeting, MPA Usman Khan Bettani and President Syed Badshah Kundi apprised the Special Assistant of the challenges confronting journalists in Tank. They highlighted the need for timely measures to address these issues.

Shafi Jan assured the delegation that the concerns of journalists would be resolved on a priority basis.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Usman Khan Bettani said that despite difficult circumstances and limited resources, journalists of Tank had played a vital role in highlighting regional issues through responsible journalism, contributing significantly to local development.

Shafi Jan said that the role of media in the present era could not be overlooked, adding that media serves as the eyes and ears of society. He said the provincial government welcomes constructive criticism and believes in freedom of the press.
