Teacher arrested after breaking student’s arms in school assault

UPPER DIR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) A teacher has been arrested after allegedly breaking both arms of a young student during a violent classroom assault at a government school here.

The incident took place in the Siddiqa area of Ashiree Dara, where a teacher at a government Primary school reportedly subjected fifth-grade student Adnan, son of Tajbar, to severe corporal punishment.

According to police, the teacher identified as Sultan Nabi allegedly lost control during class and brutally assaulted the child, resulting in fractures in both of his arms.

The injured student was shifted for medical treatment following the incident.

Police from Gandiagar station acted promptly and arrested the accused teacher after the case was reported.

The incident has sparked strong public reaction, with growing concern over the use of corporal punishment in schools and repeated calls for strict action against those responsible.

Residents and rights advocates have demanded stronger enforcement of child protection laws to prevent such incidents in educational institutions.
