Tehsil administration unveils Eid al-Azha cleanliness plan

KAMALIA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The tehsil administration has outlined an extensive cleanliness operation ahead of Eid al-Azha, with hundreds of workers and heavy machinery set to be deployed across the tehsil.

The arrangements were announced during a press briefing chaired by Assistant Commissioner, Iram Shehzadi. Chief Officer Ali Raza, Tehsil Manager, Suthra Punjab, Zeeshan, Admin Officer, Jibran Ali, Operations Manager, Uzair Shah, Project Manager, Mudassar Ahsan were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the briefing, Shehzadi said 685 workers and drivers would take part in the Eid sanitation campaign, while 208 vehicles and pieces of heavy machinery would be used during the operation.

The equipment includes compactors, dumpers, tractor loaders, tractor trolleys and loader rickshaws.

She said eight trenches had been prepared for the safe and environmentally friendly disposal of animal waste from sacrificial slaughter.

The authorities have also established 19 camps, four temporary collection points and eight waste collection centres to facilitate residents during the period.

The officials said 35,000 special waste bags and 25 maunds of lime had also been arranged for public distribution.

The AC said the district administration was making every effort to ensure a clean environment for residents during the Eid .

She also urged media representatives to cooperate with the administration and help raise public awareness about cleanliness during the holiday.
