Ten injured in Kohat road crash near Taj Mahal hotel

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) At least ten people, including a senior Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official, were injured when a motorcar collided with a flying coach near Taj Mahal Hotel in Tehsil Lachi on Thursday, rescue and police officials said.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Jawad Afridi, emergency teams rushed to the scene and shifted all injured to hospital for immediate treatment. Among the injured is Director FIA Atta-ur-Rehman, along with several passengers belonging to different cities.

Medical Superintendent KDA Hospital Dr. Tahir Ali Shah and District Police Officer Kohat Shehbaz Elahi reached the emergency ward to oversee medical care and ensure prompt treatment for the victims. Hospital sources said the injured are currently under observation.

Rescue teams and police remained at the site to manage the situation and facilitate relief operations. Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident to determine the cause of the accident.
