Terror attack on police post foiled

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) A terrorist attack on a police post in the jurisdiction of Nasir Bagh Police Station here on Monday was foiled after security personnel responded promptly .

According to police, terrorists attempted to target the Sakhi Pul police post taking the cover of darkness.

However, the personnel deployed at the post retaliated immediately and effectively, forcing the attackers to flee the scene. No casualties were reported.

Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation to trace the fleeing suspects.

Police across the city have been put on high alert, and security has been further tightened to prevent any untoward incident.

Police authorities said all available resources were being utilized to maintain law and order and bring the attackers to justice.
