HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) The Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Jalaluddin Mehar has directed revenue officials to resolve public issues related to revenue matters on a priority basis. This he directed while presiding over a meeting of revenue officers of Tharparkar district, which was held at the office of the deputy commissioner of Tharparkar.

Speaking at the meeting, the commissioner directed officers to allocate specific time in their offices for the general public and to meet people who come with their problems. He emphasized taking fair and prompt action to resolve issues such as transfer of ownership, correction of survey numbers and other complaints, ensuring that no injustice is done to anyone. He further directed that thorough scrutiny should be carried out while recording entries related to deceased persons, as well as during sale and purchase transactions, to prevent fake or fraudulent entries.

According to a handout issued on Tuesday, the Commissioner also reviewed matters including land verification (Parhtal) and preparation of the Deh’s Form-V.

He stressed that field books must be properly maintained and said that verification helps determine the status of cultivated and uncultivated land as well as cropping patterns. He directed assistant commissioners to remain active in the field, engage with people and maintain a friendly attitude, as they represent the provincial government at the taluka level.

He also instructed assistant commissioners to launch a campaign against encroachments on government land and grazing lands (Gauchar), and to take action against encroachers. Besides this, he also directed them to conduct surprise visits to markets to control rising prices in urban areas.

On this occasion, the deputy commissioner Tharparkar Abdul Haleem Jaghirani gave a detailed briefing to the Commissioner on the district’s structure, educational institutions, healthcare and other administrative matters.
