MIRPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) A large “Istehkam-e-Pakistan” (Stability of Pakistan) rally was held in Mirpur on Thursday under the joint auspices of the Traders’ Association, civil society organizations, the Mirpur Protection Forum and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, drawing social activists, overseas Kashmiris, political workers and citizens from across the region.
The rally began at Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium and passed through Mian Muhammad Road before concluding at Chowk Shaheedan. Participants carrying the national flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir chanted slogans in support of Pakistan, national unity and the armed forces. The procession was led by AJK Chamber of Commerce President Umar Shahzad Jarral, former president Faisal Manzoor, leaders of the Traders’ Association, Mirpur Protection Forum representatives, councillors, overseas Kashmiri leaders and other prominent community figures.
Addressing the gathering, speakers said the relationship between Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir was founded on shared historical, ideological, religious and cultural ties.

They also stressed that a strong and stable Pakistan was essential for regional peace, progress and prosperity.
The speakers paid tribute to Pakistan's armed forces, security institutions and national organizations for their sacrifices and services, emphasizing that national unity and harmony were crucial in the prevailing circumstances. Participants renewed their pledge to contribute to Pakistan's progress and prosperity, oppose any conspiracies against the country and offered special prayers for Pakistan's security, development, the success of its armed forces and a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.
