Three arrested in crackdown on illegal weapons and liquor

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Mar, 2026) Police on Saturday arrested three suspects and recovered pistols and liquor during separate operations targeting drug dealers and illegal weapon holders.

According to police,the raids were carried out on the directives of District Police Officer Rana Umar Farooq under the supervision of DSP Sara-e-Alamgir Circle Dr.

Mumtaz Ahmed Mekan with SHO Bolani Ghulam Rasool leading the operations.

The arrested men were identified as Shahbaz, with 30-bore pistol,Muhammad Ashraf with a 30-bore pistol and five litres of liquor and Umar Hayat with five litres of liquor were seized.

Separate cases have been registered against the suspects while further investigations was underway.
