Three held for youth’s murder over property dispute

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Buchiana police on Wednesday claimed to have cracked a murder case,arresting three individuals in connection with the killing of a young man over a property dispute.

According to a police spokesperson,Ghulam Fareed(20),r/o Chak No.562-GB went missing on March 17,2026 while heading out to purchase groceries.

Despite extensive searches by his family,the youth could not be traced,prompting them to lodge a missing person report.

A few days ago,Ghulam Fareed’s body was recovered from wheat fields in Chak No.

563-GB.

Following the discovery,police added a murder charge to the FIR and launched a scientific investigation.

Within a week,investigators traced the crime and arrested three of the victim’s friends namely as Nauman,Mehtab and Noor Nabi.

During interrogation,the accused reportedly confessed to abducting and murdering Ghulam Fareed over a property dispute.

The suspects have been detained while further investigation was underway.
