ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) Three persons were killed while five others sustained injuries in separate incidents and accidents reported from different areas of Attock during the Eid holidays, police and rescue officials said on Friday.
In the first incident, a rickshaw driver was shot dead by an unidentified assailant travelling as a passenger on GT Road within the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal Police Station. Police sources said 55-year-old Rasool Shah had picked up passengers from Hassanabdal Lorry Adda and was heading towards Cement Company Chowk when a masked man riding in the rickshaw opened fire on him, killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene on foot.
In another incident within the limits of Attock City Police Station, 43-year-old Rashid Iqbal was gunned down by two armed motorcyclists at a car stand.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>According to police, the attackers sprayed bullets at the victim and escaped immediately after the attack. Separately, a pickup driver identified as Muhammad Ramzan lost his life after a trailer hit his vehicle on the CPEC route in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang Police Station.
Meanwhile, five people suffered bullet injuries during a clash between two rival groups in Dhoke Habib area within the limits of Jand Police Station. Rescue teams shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pindigheb for medical treatment. Police have registered separate cases in all incidents and started further investigations.
