Three killed, two injured in Quetta firing incident

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) A deadly firing incident on Sariab Road near the Sessions Court left three people dead and two others injured on Tuesday.

According to the Police source, five to six unidentified assailants opened fire on Jameel Mengal and his party at the Kechi Beg police station area. The attack claimed three lives, while Jameel Mengal and his driver sustained injuries.

Both were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Harun, son of Jameel, Ghafoor, son of Wahid Bux, Naseebullah while Abdul Hafeez and Jameel sustained injuries in the attack.

An FIR has been registered, and investigations are underway. Initial findings suggest the motive behind the attack was a land dispute. Authorities have assured that efforts are being made to apprehend those responsible.
