MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2026) Three police officials were suspended on the orders of the Regional Police Officer (RPO)

for allegedly refusing to register an FIR lodged by a victim at Budhla Sunnat

Police Station.

According to official sources, Shamim Bibi approached Budhla Sunnat Police Station

on July 10 to register an FIR against the accused, Ashfaq, and his accomplices for allegedly

assaulting her.

Following her complaint, the police constituted a medical board, which collected her medical samples.

However, the samples were not sent to the forensic laboratory, and the FIR was allegedly not

registered on the pretext of insufficient evidences.

The alleged refusal to register the case left the woman deeply distressed, and she later died by

suicide after consuming poisonous pills.
