TMA Kohat intensifies Eid cleanliness drive across rural areas

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Kohat continued its vigorous sanitation campaign on the third day of Eid-ul-Azha, ensuring timely disposal of sacrificial waste and maintaining cleanliness across urban and rural areas of the district.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir and Tehsil Municipal Officer Javed Betini. Municipal staff remained actively engaged in removing animal remains and offal from streams, vacant plots, bushes, and other public places to prevent environmental pollution and health hazards.

According to officials, sanitation teams stayed deployed in the field throughout all three days of Eid, backed by heavy machinery and municipal vehicles to expedite waste collection and disposal operations.

The authorities said the continuous efforts were aimed at providing a clean and healthy environment for residents during the Eid holidays.

On this occasion, Municipal Services Incharge Muhammad Waqas appealed to citizens to cooperate with sanitation workers by avoiding indiscriminate dumping of sacrificial waste. He stressed that public cooperation was essential to safeguard the environment and curb the spread of diseases during the festive season.
