Token tax and challan collection through One App, new system implemented

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Excise & Taxation department has decided to collect token tax and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) challan through the traffic police under the digital system.

According to officials, through “One App”, now not only traffic challans but also other government collections of various departments will be possible on a single platform. This system is being implemented in phases across the province from next week.

DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir said that integrated data of 9 different departments has been added to One App, with the help of which, by inserting the vehicle number or a picture of the number plate, all the details of the dues will be revealed immediately.

He said that this app has already been successfully used for digital challaning for two months, and now it is being further expanded so that other government payments can also be received through the same system.

Under the new system, the payment of challan or token tax will be transferred directly to the account of the concerned institution through PSID, which will increase transparency and speed.

The DIG Traffic further said that in the next phase, other government institutions will also be given access to this system, for which they will be provided with login credentials.

Officials say that through this modern digital system, citizens will get information and payment facility for all vehicle-related dues on a single platform, which will reduce both time and hassle.
