QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Government of Balochistan is going to organize two-day Tourism Policy Making Conference for Balochistan” under the Tourism Department on May 9 and 10, 2026 at a local hotel.
This conference is being organized with the special efforts of Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism Balochistan Nawabzada
Mir Zarin Khan Magsi and Provincial Secretary Culture and Tourism Hameedullah Nasir, with the aim of effectively formulating the policy development and future action plan for tourism in Balochistan.
According to official, this two-day conference would be attended by tourism experts, government officials, private sector representatives, archaeologists, tour operators, educational institutions and representatives of civil society.
During the conference, detailed consultations will be held on important topics such as tourism promotion in Balochistan, coastal tourism on the Makran Coast, community-based eco-tourism in protected areas, railway heritage tourism, cultural and archaeological tourism, adventure tourism, investment in the tourism sector, infrastructure improvement, branding and marketing, human resource development and tourist safety.
On the first day of the conference, various working groups will be formed to review the challenges and opportunities facing the tourism sector in Balochistan and formulate actionable recommendations.
These recommendations will be presented on the second day so that a comprehensive and effective tourism policy can be formulated.
Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Nawabzada Affairs Mir Zarin Khan Magsi has said that Balochistan is a region rich in natural beauty, historical heritage and cultural diversity, and the Balochistan government is taking serious steps to highlight the province’s economy, employment and positive image through the promotion of tourism.
He has invited all relevant institutions, experts and stakeholders to participate fully in the conference so that a joint strategy can be formulated for a bright tourism future of Balochistan.
