SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) As part of the annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Muhammad Adam Shah Kalhoro, a vibrant and traditional Sindhi cultural games were organized at the shrine.

The event was hosted by Sajjada Nasheen and Chairman of the Urs Committee, Mian Jahangir Abbasi on Monday.

The cultural and sports event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Saddam Sagheer of Anti Narcotics Force, Sukkur, Ashiq Ali Abbasi, Senior Vice President, Anjuman Ittehad Abbasiyah, Akhlaq Memon, District Sports Officer, Dr. Saeed Awan, Abdul Majeed Abbasi, Mian Javed Abbasi, Dildar Ahmed,Ustad Ghulam Muhammad Kalhoro and Ashiq Ali Pathan.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Saddam Sagheer said that the Urs celebrations are not only a source of spiritual blessings but also play a key role in promoting our culture, traditions, and traditional sports.

He emphasized that games like “Koodi Koodi” are an integral part of Sindhi heritage and must be preserved and passed on to future generations.

He further stated that such competitions are essential to engage youth in healthy activities, as sports not only improve physical health but also instill discipline, brotherhood, and unity.

At the conclusion of the event, trophies and prizes were distributed among the best-performing teams and players. Participants and attendees praised the event, calling it a wonderful addition to the Urs celebrations that added color, excitement, and cultural pride.

The organizers thanked the honorable guests for their presence and concluded the ceremony with prayers for the success of the Urs celebrations and for peace and prosperity in the region.
