Traffic Police Abbottabad announces crackdown on illegal vehicle modifications from April 1

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The Traffic Police Abbottabad has issued a public warning announcing that a strict crackdown will be conducted against vehicles violating traffic regulations starting April 1st.

According to an official notification released by the department on Sunday, the crackdown will specifically target vehicles equipped with unauthorized flashlights, breaker bars, police lights, and those operating without valid fitness certificates.

The Traffic Police has urged citizens to ensure compliance before the deadline. Vehicle owners are instructed to remove all permit-proof police lights and flashlights from their vehicles immediately.

Additionally, owners of vehicles that do not possess a valid fitness certificate have been directed to obtain one without further delay.

“The public is hereby informed that action will be taken against violators after April 1st,” the notification stated.

The department emphasized that these measures are being implemented to ensure road safety, prevent misuse of emergency lighting, and maintain proper vehicle standards across the district. Citizens have been advised to voluntarily comply with the regulations to avoid penalties once the crackdown begins.
