Traffic police launch awareness campaign on road safety in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) The Traffic Police education Unit has launched an awareness campaign under the supervision of DSP Traffic Khurram Shahzad to promote road safety and traffic discipline across the district.

In-charge Traffic Education Unit Sub-Inspector Ali Raza informed drivers in different areas about traffic rules and road safety measures. Drivers were instructed to avoid over-speeding and ensure lane discipline, while awareness pamphlets were distributed among citizens.

Naveed Atif said practical steps are being taken to ensure the safety of citizens’ journeys. Along with operations to prevent traffic accidents, the awareness campaign aims to encourage compliance with traffic rules, which can help avoid road accidents.

DPO Dr. Naveed Atif urged citizens to follow traffic rules to ensure safe travel for themselves and others. He further said people should obtain driving licenses and parents must not allow minor children to drive vehicles.
