Traffic police launch operation against encroachments in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) The district's traffic police have conducted a special operation against encroachments to improve the flow of traffic in the city.

According to police spokesman the action was taken on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed.

Under the supervision of DSP Traffic Anwar Khattak and Traffic Incharge Qaiser Hilal Sial, traffic police teams conducted operations near the Old Vegetable Market and Mission Mor.

During the operation, shopkeepers and cart vendors were instructed not to create obstructions on roads and to conduct their business within designated limits so that the smooth flow of traffic is not disrupted.

According to traffic authorities, markets and roads become increasingly crowded during the last days of the holy month of Ramazan. In addition, the ongoing construction of flyovers at several locations in the city has further increased traffic pressure.

In view of these circumstances, the campaign against encroachments has been launched to facilitate citizens and maintain traffic flow.

Police officials say that such actions will continue to ensure public convenience and smooth traffic movement.

Citizens have also been were also urged to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the administration to help maintain order and discipline in the city.
